Healthy Eater!

I am so blessed to have a child who enjoys healthy foods!! He loves yogert, grapes, cheerios and cheese for breakfast!

Happy Boy!!

WE HAVE LIFT OFF!!

Well, this past Monday (March 21st), Jotham decided he would start walking!  He has been going everywhere and he loves it! I do too! It is so fun seeing him walk rather than crawl, though he still crawls at times.  Just had to mark this monumental event...I will take a video soon...be on the look out! :-)

Yah for Visitors!

Jotham had a "surprise" last time we went to the Antique store, which by the way is one of my favorite places to go! I can get lost in thought and just walk around for hours.  Finding a quiet place to go in your busy life is always nice!  My Aunt Cheryl and Uncle Chris were visiting from Milton, FL and came over from Tifton with my mom to see us for a while.  What a nice surprise!  It was their first time in Douglas.  I think they liked it, but they DO have incentive to come!!

Pizza Anyone?

j
Jotham and I made a yummy piza together one day....he was so helpful...he helped spread the sauce (until he realized he liked it, then he mostly licked the spoon)...he also helped put the toppings on (until he realized he liked the mini pepperoni's, then he mostly just ate them)...he helped put the cheese on (until he realized it was cheese, which he loves, then he ate it)....then I decided I wanted to take a picture...when I came back from getting my camera there was a big whole in the pizza and someone's face was covered in the evidence!!!

After I re-patched the spot he had eaten...he decided to eat some more!  Excellent way to have fun with your kids and still get an essential item of the day done (lunch!)

Happy 31st Birthday Philip!!

Jotham and I put together a fun birthday bag for Dadoo...Yatzee, dice, farkle, office stuff and other fun items...

The birthday glasses were a fun hit!!
Jotham's special card for Dadoo...with extra touches of love...with markers, glue and other stuff
Snuggling with Dadoo on his birthday!!
Outside with Dadoo!! It was soooooo cold surprisingly and we did not pack for the windy weather...so Jotham had to improvise!!
Yummy! Snack time with Dadoo!
Jotham went to stay with DD...Philip and I had a wonderful two nights at the lake together!
Throwing football, enjoying the view, steaks on the grill...we even roasted smores at the fire pit!!
Happy Birthday Handsome!

Wheeler Park

Leighton, Susan & Jotham at Wheeler Park
Monday Play Dates :-)

Susan informed me that this Yogi Bear has been at the park since she was a child! This is why she is having to stand there to keep it in the ground! LOL!

Jotham loved this so much! Cried on the swings...threw pine cones...climbed up stairs and did several slides!! Shared a snack with Leighton...dirty fingers made it much better!
Oh and he cried hysterically when we had to leave...so we did a McDonalds trip for chicken nuggets (his favorite!)

Remembering Mr. Jack

We recently took 10 of the youth from our church to play in the Jack Gibbs Memorial Basketball Tournament in Tifton, GA.

The kids had a blast! (Philip included!) They were so encouraged, had an opportunity to hear about Mr. Jack's life, death and hope in Christ and enjoyed fellowship with others who were believers!

Any day is good when the Gospel is involved! God is good all the time even through hardship, extreme sadness and loss. Thanks Mr. Jack (and family) for what you meant to Philip and I in our relationship with Christ and the example your life provided and still provides of the hope of Christ in our lives!

18 Months Old Today!

I cannot believe my sweet baby boy is 18 months old! I had to get another picture of those sweet curls...I get a lot of pressure about cutting his hair, but for now...I'm the boss of that hair and I'll do what I want with it!!

Jotham loves to play ball and he loves the outdoors!!

He also has a new found love for chicken nuggets!

What a way to end a wonderful day! Snuggling with Dadoo, drinking his milk and watching Yo Gabba Gabba!

Montana Johnson!

When Philip's Papaw Jim passed away (while we were living in KY) he left this hat for Philip...Jotham seems to wear it rather well! He thinks he is "Montana Johnson" (a play on Indiana Jones, lol) - Muno's pretend adventure character on Yo Gabba Gabba (his favorite show!)
