Christmas 2011

Christmas Eve all in our Christmas PJs!!

Well our greatest Christmas gift this year was Riya Owen but we did celebrate at home too. Jotham had a blast opening gifts this year. It was so enjoyable watching him. He did have some favorites this year...the Guitar from Mamaw won out as his very favorite but there were some close seconds!

CBC Baby Shower

My Carver Family blessed us with a wonderful shower before Riya arrived. It was such a fun time and a wonderful blessing to us!! Thank you to all who put it together :) On a side note this is the only shower I have ever had while pregnant since Jotham arrived so early!

Our Little Charlie Brown Tree

Before Riya was born Jotham helped Mamma decorate the house "jus a lil bit" as he would say for Christmas. It was a blast!

Riya's 1st Night at HOME!!

Riya had her DD spend the night on her first night at home and she gave DD a run for her money!! She cried from 3am to 7am!! She has only done it once since that time and it was the second time DD spent the night so apparently she has already figured out how to mess with her DD.

Riya had her very first bath at home...so sweet!! They grow up toooooo fast!! Love her!!!!

My Sun-bathing Beauty!!

Riya had high hemaglobin which put her at high risk for higher jaundice levels. She was on antibiotics to keep her hemaglobin down but she continued to have high billirubin levels so we were in the hospital for about a week. We did get to make it home for Christmas...we made it home around dinner time on the 23rd!! Yah!!
The moment we heard we could take her home Uncle Al got her dressed, we signed the paperwork and darted back to Douglas!! So glad to be in our own house for the celebration of Christ's birth!!
I do have to say THANKS to my mom for making the awesome carseat cover and for her adorable "going home" outfit!! Love them!!
Thank you to Uncle Al, Mert, DD, Papa Joe, Grammy, Pappy and the Brenne-beans for all taking part in keeping Jotham fed, cleaned, loved and entertained while we were in the hospital!! Also, thank you to KK, our CBC Family, Ash-key, T'Age, Hannah, CC, Erin, Ashtyn, Bro. Robert and everyone else who visited, sent gifts, called, texted, prayed for us, took care of us and lifted our spirits when we were low. Thank you to Bekah, my beautiful sister in Christ, and wonderful nurse!! Thank you CBC Family for all the gifts and delicious food you provided once we arrived home!! We are soooooo blessed!! Love you all so much!!
