New Life!!

Let me help...if you're having trouble reading it...plus means pregnant! Yes, for those who did not hear our exciting news yet, we are expecting baby #2! Praise the Lord! We found out our good news on Saturday April 23rd (the day Jotham turned 20 months old!).
We went to the doctor on May 4th to have some tests run and a sonogram.  I was 5 weeks along and it was too early to see or hear a heartbeat.  We went back to the doctor May 12th to have another sonogram and Praise the Lord we were able to see and hear the heart!! What an amazing sound!!
Baby #2 will be due around January 2nd.  My doctor thinks a good window for delivery will be December 25th - Jan 2nd...so we will have a Christmas or a New Year baby (God-willing)!  On another note...if the baby is born as early as Jotham...we will have a Thanksgiving baby, lol!  So, the baby is destined for a holiday birth! :-)
Jotham went with us and got to see the baby's heart beat. He was so sweet! He has sugguested a few names...Lala, Bo or Meme.  He is so silly!

Step 2...two tbsp oil and 1tsp cumin seeds in pan on med heat

Step 3...saute 1 cup onions

step 4...(an american shortcut) a can of rotel (in place of two sliced green chilis and two diced whole tomatos)
step 5...add 1tsp cumin powder, 2tsp corriander powder, 1/2tsp tumeric powder, 1/2 tsp red chili powder

step 6...add 5-6 diced potatos and 1 cup peas (canned or frozen), let cook until tender
step 7...add 1tsp garam masala

Yum!! Aloo Mattar!!  Delicious!!

Camping out

Jotham now loves to lay in his Daddy's spot in the bed all bundled up and watch Yo Gabba Gabba!

We had such fun!

20 Months Old Today! Happy Easter!!

Jotham turned 20 months old the day before Easter Sunday and he emjoyed his 1st Easter Egg Hunt at CBC.  He got about 6 eggs and then sat down to eat his candy in the shade...boy after my own heart.  All his little friends felt sorry for him so they came and filled up his basket while he sat on the ground.

Jotham's singing debut

Jotham created a song for his DD.  In this video he debuts his newest version of the song (lyrics: DD, DD, DD, DD, ooooooooooooooh!).  He gets so excited!  He tells DD not to watch him sing it twice during the video...hysterical!  You can hear me (Morgan), my mom and my brother laughing throughout the entire song! ENJOY!

Happy Birthday Uncle Al!!

My brother, Alan, turned 25 on April 16th so we decided to go to Jacksonville and take him to lunch!  It was such a fun trip and Jotham always loves seeing Uncle Al!

Little Musician

Jotham loves to sing and dance! He loves to try to be a big boy all the time!

Jotham loves Oreos!!

Indian Cooking!!

Philip and I found an Indian import store in Valdosta and have been several time to talk with the owner and buy spices for cooking.  He is from Pak and is a very kind man who misses home, culture and language very much.  It is an awesome opportunity to share with him and pray for him.
On another note...we miss our s. asian family very much too so it is such a great reminder of them when I can cook food from their home!!  So, I have started my spice cabinet and hope to be cooking soon.

Grammy bought Jotham a pool for the yard and he LOVES it!  He is my little fish!  I could tell he was my innovative little southern boy when he got thirsty and began drinking water from his ball cap! :-)

Allergies!!!!

Jotham has had terrible allergies this summer and has had to go back on his nebulizer treatments, but he does so well with them.  He loves to sit in my lap and watch Yo Gabba Gabba until he is all finished!!

Jotham & Andy

While Grammy was visiting we got some time to go visit Jotham's cousins.  He really likes to play outside and he and Andy hit things off really well...playing in the fountain may have been the favorite thing of the day!

Ball anyone?

Jotham loves to play ball...any kind of ball...baseball, basketball, football, you name it he loves it...so here are some shots of him in the mud outside playing baseball...
