Special visit to SBTS

Jotham got to go into the archives at SBTS with his "Uncle" Jason. We were so excited to see Jason & Michele and to finally meet their son Russ for the first time!!! We wish the time wasn't so short!!! Jason & Michele kept us so encouraged on our hardest days while we were in S. Asia...we love you guys!!

Mark's Feed Store

We had such a great time visiting friends in Louisville. We had a fun lunch with Andy & Stephanie Moore, Stephanie Rowe and Adrienne Baldwin. Somehow we didn't get a picture of Jotham with Stephanie M, but she has the touch...she made him stop crying twice!!

Jotham Meets Aunt Steph

We took a quick trip to Louisville/Fairdale, KY to visit friends and the first person there to meet Jotham was his "Aunt" Stephanie!!!!

He wore his taxi cab shirt just for her as a reminder of our time together in another world...

Stephanie's famous pose...or is she trying to eat Jotham??!! He's not sure...

Ouchie!!

Jotham went to see Dr. Stewart yesterday and got a great report. He now weighs 8lbs 10oz and is 22in long. In 5 weeks he gained about 2lbs and grew about 3in! He is still well under the growth curve for his age, however, he is growing and getting proper nutrition and she feels he will catch up soon enough. He has now surpassed both his mother and father's birth weight, but he still has some growing to do to catch up with his Uncle Alan who was a 9lb 4oz baby!!! He's still in newborn diapers and clothes, but it's a far stretch from preemie XS diapers! God is good!!

He got 6 vaccines yesterday (one by mouth, but the others, as you can see by the picures were shots). I appropriately dressed him in his "mommy's little hero" suit because I told him he would be my hero and do a great job getting his shots and he did. He was very pleasant until the sticks came then he let out a loud yelp, but he calmed down really quickley after and went back to sleep. So, I told him he was Mommy's Hero today!

The funny thing was he might have yelled just as loud right after this picture was taken when daddy had to rip the band-aids off! I'm not sure which hurt worse, the shot or taking the band-aid off??!!

My Aunt from E. Asia!

Jotham's other "Aunt" Ashley came all the way home from E. Asia to see him!! He likes to call her "Aunt Pepto" or "Aunt Smash"...

Love at first sight...the last time they saw each other was last February in a tiny sonogram room in S. Asia...

Future Farmer of America?

Alexa learned to drive the Mule this weekend...lookout world here she comes!!

She learned about peanut crops and even picked some herself...

She went and picked up some Peacans as well...

Then she went cotton pickin' in Georgia (of all places)...so do we have a future farmer on our hands?? Well, that might be taking it a little too far :) Just a fun day with Uncle Philip!
